Overall I'd have to say that our experience here was okay. My rating would have been higher if it weren't for having to deal with Steve Gardner. My husband and I purchased our vehicle with cash but still had to deal with the finance department to do the paperwork. Steve was very rude and pushy and it was obvious that he had come from Ray Skillman dealerships because of his pushy sales pitches and dishonesty. Steve pushed their extended warranty on us without mercy (we would have probably bought it anyway) and would not let my husband and I talk about the added expense in private. He stated that by stepping out of his office any warranty offer would be void and that we had to make the decision immediately because if we left with the vehicle and came back w/in 24 hours and decided to add the warranty it would not be available. Since then I have found out that both of those statements were untrue. A warranty can be purchased on any vehicle at anytime. Also, I was later informed by an employee of Chevy of Columbus that Steve Gardner is paid a commission for every extended warranty he sells so therefore Chevy of Columbus is incorrect when it advertises itself as being a "Vulture Free Zone".Yes I am happy with the vehicle that I purchased but based on my experience with this one employee and the feeling that my complaint was blown off by the representative who contacted me, my husband and I will not be doing business with this dealership again.

Excellent auto repair service experience at a very fair price.

I went in for routine service (oil change, tire rotation). They were very nice and friendly and got my car done very quickly. I was happy to not have to wait an hour or two!

Chevrolet of Columbus is a new car dealership in Columbus, Indiana that is owned and operated by Leo Portaluppi. Leo brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in assisting his customers with finding and purchasing the automobile that is best suited for their needs or desires. His staff is both professional and personable, and talking to them is not like talking to an ordinary car dealer. Unlike most car dealerships, the Chevy of Columbus salesman do not operate off of commission. Their goal is to insure that their customers enjoy a hassle free, open and honest car buying experience. This was clearly the case when I visited them on 9/26/14 to purchase my new Silverado. There was absolutely no attempt to 'up-sell' me on anything! They explained the packages and options available and allowed me to choose exactly what I wanted, all without ever hearing "I think you should really get this" or "you sure you don't want to add this@f0" The Chevy of Columbus staff treat you like family, and this is not an understatement. This dealership has earned a lifelong customer and I urge anyone considering to purchase a new or used car to take a look at what they have to offer. Best customer service, hands down.
